Growing up with parents from Germany, good beer has always been part of Bert’s family heritage. “Delicious beer has been part of the fabric of our family for as long as I can remember,” recalls Bert. Upon retiring from his 30-year career as a high school teacher, Bert was ready for a new adventure. Bert’s background in horticulture and design fueled the transformation of the warehouse building at 58 Saratoga Avenue. The inviting atmosphere of the CRBC beer garden and taproom are the direct products of Bert’s creative vision.
