Janey’s Ride

By | Events

Sunday, May 12, 2019

This bicycle ride was originally organized to help out the Fairchild family. Shortly before opening Grey Ghost Bicycles, Steve’s wife Janey was diagnosed with breast cancer. After rounds of treatment in Glens Falls and in Boston, she is now in remission. This ride is now held to raise money for the Breast Cancer Care & Research Fund at the Glens Falls Hospital, to help others like the Fairchild’s. Grey Ghost Bicycles not only donates the proceeds from the ride to the hospital but a portion of each Grey Ghost Bicycles cycling jersey sold in the shop goes to the hospital as well.

Parking will be at the Park and Ride lot in back of our original brewery at 58 Saratoga Ave, and the ride will start from there. Registration and the after party will be at the TEMPORARY TAPROOM at 30 Saratoga Ave. You can park in the park and ride and walk or ride to the Temporary Taproom.

A Message From Our Co-Founders

By | Events, News

March 27, 2019

Dear Friends,

We are still in shock as we write you all this update.

As many of you know by now, a fire erupted in our brewery on Monday, March 25th, 2019. The structural damage to our brewery was devastating. While we are grateful that none our most cherished assets – our people – were physically harmed by the fire, much of our brewery, taproom, and second floor office space was destroyed or severely damaged.

Therefore our taproom and brewery at 58 Saratoga Ave will remain closed until further notice as we begin executing the necessary steps to rebuild. We are making every effort to support our employees through this time and are collectively driven to getting back to doing what we love as soon as possible.

So many emotions have consumed our hearts these past few days: sorrow, grief, anger, disbelief…. but also gratitude. Immense gratitude for the incredible showing of support we’ve received from our local and extended community. While we may not be responding individually to each of you at this time, please know that your kindness is noticed, your gesture is greatly appreciated, and we are deeply, deeply touched.

We are still working through the details and timeline of our rebuild. We know that we have a few tough months ahead. We also know that will come out of this stronger than we were before.

We will keep you all posted and look forward to serving you again soon.

Much love and gratitude,
Christian, Bert and the entire Weber Family

South Glens Falls Taproom Expansion

By | Events, News

Exciting things are happening here in South Glens Falls! We officially broke ground on Monday, March 18th for our taproom expansion.

The new expansion will include: more taproom and retail space, a private bar, an outdoor deck, and a kitchen so we can serve up wood fired offerings to compliment our brews. We anticipate completing construction by mid-summer.

Things to note:

1. Construction will not affect current taproom hours.
2. Parking is still available in the lot behind the taproom. Just take it slow past the construction zone.
3. We are STOKED and hope you are too!

Check back often for updates.
