In this hands-on session, Ian will dive into the art of wood identification and shed light on some of the most persistent myths about historic homes.

Curious about the difference between chestnut and pine? Or how to tell red oak from white oak? Participants are encouraged to bring a piece of mystery wood for discussion. The class will also cover a catalogue of prevalent old house myths that Ian has encountered throughout his career.
