How do the pledges work?
Supporters make a dollar amount pledge per 15minutes their rider completes. So if your rider is signed up for a 2 hour time block and you commit to $5 per 15min, your total donation would come out to $40.

I’m a rider. How should I collect my pledge money?
Once registered for a time block, you will already know how many 15min time blocks you will be completing (8 for a 2-hour block and 16 for a 4-hour block). You should collect checks or cash from your supporters IN ADVANCE at the time the pledge is made. Checks can be made payable to Common Roots Foundation with Cyclothon in the memo. Cash is okay too. Be sure to keep track of all your pledges and collections on the provided Pledge Form.

What time should I get to the studio?
Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your ride time to check-in at the registration table. There, you can drop off your forms and pledge money, pick up your swag bag, and find your bike assignment.

Will there be refreshments served?
Kind Cycling studio will have Gatorade and some simple refueling snacks available for riders. Bring your own water bottle to refill at the drinking fountain.

What do I get for participating?
In addition to some feel-good cycling with purpose, all participants will receive a swag bag which includes a Kind Cycling free class pass, Cyclothon raffle ticket, Common Roots pint glass, and a token for a free beer on their next visit to the taproom.

How does the raffle work?
Raffle items will be displayed in the Kind Cycling Studio throughout the cyclothon. All riders receive one free ticket for participating, but additional tickets will be available for purchase. Drawings will occur at the end of the day and winners will be notified via phone. You do not need to be present to win.

How does the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners work?
Once all riders have submitted their forms and pledge monies, the results will be tallied and the top 3 grossing participants will win the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes! Winners will be notified the next day to coordinate picking up their prizes. Special thanks to Grey Ghost Bicycles, Tiki Tours and Evergreen Bicycle Works for their generous prize donations.
